The Climate Service Center resumes the tasks of the Service Group Adaptation (SGA). SGA was established in the context of the funding priority "klimazwei Research for climate protection and protection from climate impacts".
SGA advised and supported interdisciplinary projects from "klimazwei" and "KLIMZUG – Regions adapt to climate change". These projects investigate how to manage with local effects of climate change in different regions and develop strategies on how to adjust to changing climate conditions.
SGA provided knowledge of climate system, data of regional climate simulations and long term monitoring data in Germany of different climate variables. Additionally processed climate indices and extreme values, figures and animations of regional model data are available for the projects. SGA supported use and interpretation of climate simulations and climate monitoring data and helped to access database and to assist data transfer. SGA facilitated the exchange of information between climate experts and projects and attends the discussions if desired. SGA offered a broad service, which involves climate data and climate knowledge in the context of the projects.
More detailed information on the available simulation and observation data is found on SGA's homepage. As an overview on the service of SGA, please have a look at the flyer. In order
to contact the SGA team, please use the common service email adress sga@dkrz.de.
